Korean E-9 Visa
South Korea issues thousands of E-9 visas to citizens of sixteen countries including Pakistan every year. This is a free visa that is managed by the Overseas Employment Corporation of Pakistan (OEC) and the Employment Permit System (EPS).
Any Male or Female Knowing the Korean language can apply for this South Korea Visa through OEC Korea. Age Must be 18 to 39 years at the time of pre-registration.
Free Korean Visa from Pakistan
The quota of the E-9 South Korean work visa for Pakistan was decreasing every year. Even last year only seven hundred Pakistanis remained successful in getting an OEC Korea free work visa.
According to the EX PM adviser for overseas Pakistanis, Zulfi Bukhari, their Government raised this issue to Korean authorities. Mr. Bukhari met with the Korean ambassador, who disclosed that the free Korean work visa quota for Pakistan has been increased to double time this year.

Requirements for E-9 free work visa
According to OEC, you will have to meet these conditions to apply for an E9 Korean visa through the Overseas Employment Corporation of Pakistan.

- CNIC and Passport is the first requirement for an E-9 free work visa.
- The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum is 39 years.
- The applicant should not have any criminal record.
- The candidate should not be entered or overstayed in Korea.
- The name should not be in ECL.
- Medically unfit and color blind persons are not eligible for this Korean work visa.
- The candidates who have lived in South Korea for more than five years already, cannot apply again.
Procedure to get a Korea Job 2021
Korea’s job 2020 process is done by the Overseas employment corporation of Pakistan (also known as OEC Korea) and the Korean organization EPS, Employment Permit System. NO agent or middlemen are involved in the process, so this is a totally free Korean work visa. OEC issues advertisements to National newspapers along with publishing it on the official website.
OEC Registration 2021
According to the advertisement for the OEC registration 2021, you will have to register for Korea job 2021 till 7th June. The registration fee is RS 500, which will be deposited into the HBL account. Korean Language Test EPS-TOPIK
As a huge number of candidates try for this Korean work visa, OEC will short-list them by computerized balloting on 3rd April. Then successful candidates will be asked to apply for the Korean language test EPS- TOPIC from 20 to 24 April. OEC offices situated in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta will act as registration centers during the announced time period. The appearance of the candidate is a must on this stage. The test fee is $24.
Skill Test for Korean Work Visa
The language test for the South Korea visa was held from 1st June to 3rd July last year and the result was being announced on 10th July at OEC centers.
Physical/mental fitness and Korean spoken skill are also being tested through simple tasks and interviews. After the final result, the next stage is a medical examination. Now the procedure to get an e9 visa is completed and you have to wait for the call of OEC Korea for the visa process.

Distribution of Quota among countries
The labor ministry of South Korea had announced to accept 56,000 foreign workers under the Employment Permit System in 2020, the same number as last year, in a bid to relieve a labor shortage in the country.
Under the plan, Korea has to accept 43,000 newcomers and 13,000 returnees -2,000 fewer newcomers than in 2018 and 2,000 more returnees. Under the EPS, a foreign worker can work in Korea for up to four years and 10 months on an E-9 free Korean work visa, but cannot leave and re-enter the country on the same visa during that time.
After four years and 10 months, E-9 holders who meet certain conditions are eligible to leave and re-enter the country to return to their previous employers. In this way, a worker can spend almost ten years on E- 9 South Korea visa.
The plan reflected industries’ demand for foreign workers and the estimated number of foreign workers likely to return to their home countries in 2019, the Labor Ministry explained.
About 28,880 new foreign workers have entered Korea in January, April, July, and October on a Korean free work visa to work in the manufacturing industry, with 60 percent started work in the first half of 2019. In our country, this visa was known as Korea free visa for Pakistan 2020 and Korea work visa 2020.
To meet seasonal demand, some 5,450 new foreign workers will be allocated to the farming and livestock industries in January, April, and October; 4,580 to the fishing and construction sectors and 90 to the service industry in January and April.
To allocate workers most efficiently across sectors, the government will decide where to allocate 4,000 new foreign workers after reviewing employment figures for different sectors for the first half of 2019.
Since 2004, Korea has accepted low-skilled migrant workers from 16 countries via the EPS in response to labor shortages at the country’s farms, fisheries, and small and medium-sized companies. The number of foreign workers in the EPS gradually increased after 2014 and peaked in 2016 at 58,000.
