New Passport Rules To Fly From and To UAE
Many airlines including Air India Express, Spicejet, and Indigo have sent notifications to all travel agents advising them of the new rule. The sent message to travel agents stated: “As per the given instructions from UAE authorities on 21st November 2022, this rule should be effective immediately. Passengers who have a passport with a single name and visitors with a visit visa or any other visa type will not be allowed to travel in/out of the UAE.
On the other hand, passengers who are in possession of an employment visa or a residence permit with a single-name passport will be allowed to travel. The only requirement is that the name is updated the same as the “First Name” and “Surname” columns.” This clears that people who are traveling on employment or residence visas will be exempt from the new UAE travel rule.
According to the new UAE passport rules, if you are among the passengers with either just a primary or secondary name and trying to enter UAE, will be categorized as unacceptable. UAE is already popular because of the strictness they show in following traveling rules. Having only a first name is a very common tradition in many countries.
