Usage and Benefits of FM Portal
“FM Portal” is an app published on Google play store by Foreign Ministry for overseas Pakistanis. It will help them to resolve their consulate-related issues quickly. They have no need to visit the embassy or consulate for their passport, ID card, and documents verification-related issues. Even that overseas Pakistanis can get appointments and legal guidance with the help of the FM App.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi informed the Pakistanis living abroad about the launching of FM Portal by his tweet.
Countries where FM Portal is Active
According to this tweet, ‘Foreign Minister’s Portal’ has initially been introduced at five Pakistani missions abroad, including Dubai, Jeddah, London, New York, and Barcelona.
Launching of Application in Dubai
A Ceremony was also held at Dubai Consulate to launch the FM Application. Council General Ahmad Amjad Ali said on this occasion ‘’ this app is being designed according to the wisdom of its users. A layman also can use it without learning. Our Pakistani community can resolve their consulate related online now. FM App will bring great convenience for them”.

FM Portal’s Description on Google Store
According to the description published on Google Play Store; “FM Application” works as a Complaint Management System which helps in resolving queries and concerns of Overseas Pakistanis and Foreign Nationals living abroad. The official serviceability and technology owner is National Information Technology Board (NITB). The application is officially developed, designed and managed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), commissioned by the Ministry of Information technology & Telecom”.
