Dubai Metro Ticket Price and Modes of Payments

Before knowing the Dubai metro ticket price, keep in mind that the only two types of payments are acceptable. One is a Nol card and the other is Nol ticket. Apart from that no other cards or cash will be used. If you want to travel, it’s mandatory to buy a Nol card or a Nol ticket from any ticket vending machine available at the Dubai Metro stations, ticket office, or from an RTA-authorized agent.

Dubai Metro Tickets

The Nol card is used as Dubai Metro Tickets. Road and Transport Authority introduced it for all public transport use. You can also be use with other transportation means such as buses, taxis, and trams. There are five types of Nol cards and among them, silver and red cards are for visitors. Below are the types of cards, you can purchase the one according to your needs:

Personalized Nol Gold Card

• Used for first-class carriage.

• The price is 80 AED.

• The credit on the card will be 20 AED.

• Travel fare is deducted automatically.

• You can load up to a maximum of 5000 AED.

• 5 years validation.

• Can be topped up at any ticket vending machine or metro ticket office.

• Acceptable for a gold-class cabin in the metro and trams.

Nol Blue Card

• Best for frequent travelers.

• The price is 70 AED.

• The credit limit on this card is 20 AED.

• Travel fare is deducted automatically.

• Can be loaded up to a maximum of 5000 AED.

• 5 years validation.

• Includes a personalized card option with a photo.

• Can be topped up automatically and includes loyalty point programs.

• Acceptable for a gold-class cabin in the metro and trams.

• Offers certain discounts to students, senior citizens, and disabled passengers.

How to Check NOL Card Balance?

Nol Standard Gold Card

• Used for first-class carriage travel.

• The price is 25 AED.

• The credit on the card is 19 AED.

• Travel fare is deducted automatically.

• Can be loaded up to a maximum of 1000 AED.

• 5 years validation.

• You can toppe up at any ticket vending machine, metro ticket office, or online via the RTA website.

• Acceptable for travel in the metro and trams. Travelers will be charged with standard fare if found traveling without the Nol gold card.

Nol Silver Card

• Used by frequent travelers.

• Its price is 25 AED.

• The credit limit on the card is 19 AED.

• Travel fare is deducted automatically.

• You can load it up to a maximum of 1000 AED.

• 5 years validation.

• You can topp up automatically by using any ticket vending machine, metro ticket office, or online via the RTA website.

Nol Red Ticket

• The best option for tourists and visitors.

• The price is 2 AED.

• The credit limit of this card is 42 AED.

• Can be recharged and used for 10 journeys and 5 daily passes maximum.

• 90 validation or 10 trips per day.

• Acceptable for travel in the metro, buses, and trams.

• Should be prepaid keeping the correct journey type in mind as it doesn’t include an e-purse account.
